About Us:
The Coastal Empire History Hunters Association, or CEHHA, is a group of people who enjoy sharing the hobby of metal detecting, relic recovery and preservation in coastal
Georgia and the South Carolina lowcountry. We meet every 4th Thursday in Pooler, Georgia at the Lovezzola's pizza on US Hwy. 80 at 6:30 p.m. Our meetings are open to all and we encourage visitors.
The meetings include special presentations on relevant topics, door prizes, club business, and recent finds. We also have club hunts, when possible. Our annual club picnic, open to club members only features a seeded hunt for prizes such as relics and coins.

Purpose:
The Coastal Empire History Hunters Association , a non-profit corporation organized exclusively for scientific and educational purposes, more specifically, to unite, promote, preserve and encourage hobbyists interested in metal detecting, archaeology or prospecting in the coastal Georgia area and elsewhere; to establish an understanding of the significant relationship between metal detecting and archaeological research; the dissemination of technical, educational and social information relating to metal detecting, and historical or archaeological discoveries, and the printing and publishing of documents, books, magazines, newspapers, newsletters or pamphlets necessary or incidental to any of the above purposes.
A few activities of CEHHA clubs:
CEHHA has been instrumental in forming search and recovery teams to work with law enforcement agencies or any agency requiring metal detecting expertise in locating lost or stolen properties, or finding evidence in criminal cases.
CEHHA has offered assistance using metal detectors to locate valuables for homeowners following tornadoes or other disasters.
We have worked with schools, scouting groups, historical societies, the Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution, the Sons of Confederate Veterans, civic groups and municipalities.
Individual members have given many lectures and demonstrations in the public sector. We travel to expositions in many cities to display members’ finds and educate the public about our history.
